Mines is a 5×5 grid hiding gems and mines. Every safe tile you flip raises your multiplier; one mine ends the round. The only real decision is when to stop. Free to play, no download, coins with no cash value.
How to play Mines
- Set your bet and the number of mines (1 to 24). More mines means a higher multiplier for every safe tile.
- Start the round and tap any tile.
- Gem: your multiplier goes up. Keep going or cash out.
- Mine: the round ends and the bet is lost. The board reveals where every mine was.
Mines odds and multipliers
Your chance of surviving each pick depends on how many safe tiles are left. With 3 mines, the first pick is safe 22 times out of 25 (88%). The payout is set so the game returns 99% of your bet on average, whichever number of mines or picks you choose.
| Mines | Chance the first pick is safe | Chance 5 picks in a row are safe | Multiplier after 5 safe picks |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | 96% | 80% | 1.24× |
| 3 | 88% | 50% | 2.00× |
| 5 | 80% | 29% | 3.39× |
| 10 | 60% | 5.7% | 17.5× |
Mines FAQ
Is there a pattern to where mines are?
No. Mines are placed at random when the round starts, and every unopened tile is equally likely to hide one. Corners and edges are no safer than the middle.
When should I cash out?
Mathematically it doesn’t change your average return; it changes how often you win and how much. Cashing out early wins small amounts often. Going deep wins big, rarely.
Can I win real money?
No. Coins are free and have no cash value. See how coins work.
